Peace on Earth - Salt & Light Ministry Update
IBN have recently sent a gift in December of £1200 to Thimar to support their Salt and Light Programme.
Philip Akiki (Partner Relations Coordinator at Thimar) shared that,
“…this December, Salt & Light Ministry team partnered with 33 churches and ministries in Lebanon, reaching more than 4,000 children and 16 churches in Syria, reaching 2,000 children, bringing them joy through Christmas celebrations filled with songs, dramas, and stories about the birth of Jesus. Through these events, the churches shared the message that Jesus is God’s greatest gift, calling children to remember Him and honour Him always. After the event, children received gifts, demonstrating them the love of God through simple acts of care and kindness.”
Philip also shared this story from one of their recent events.
“During one event, leaders of a church noticed a boy quietly sneaking to the activities after he had already completed them and received his gift. To their surprise, they realized that the boy, who was attending the church for the first time, re-entered the event simply to hear the Christmas story again, filled with excitement. We are deeply grateful that each of these events provided an opportunity to sow seeds of faith in young hearts and to strengthen local churches. ”
